Gameplay & Rules
Paper.io 2 is a classic multiplayer IO territory battle game and the sequel to Paperwar.io. It supports real-time confrontation with multiple players worldwide. The core is to expand territory while defending your vulnerable trail.
Core Territory Expansion Rules
Each player starts with a small piece of colored safe territory on the map. When you move out of your territory, your character will leave a continuous colored trail. Guide the trail to surround blank areas or enemy territories, then return to your own safe zone to form a closed loop. All areas inside the loop will be converted into your territory.
Elimination & Survival Rules (Core Risk)
The exposed trail outside the territory is your biggest weakness. If any opponent crosses your trail before you return to the safe zone, you will be eliminated instantly and respawn randomly on the map with all territory cleared. Similarly, you can take the initiative to cut off other players’ trails to eliminate them and seize their territory.
Game Modes & Map Types
The game provides multiple gameplay modes and map styles: classic square/circular arenas, small fast-paced maps, and limited-time themed curved or wrapped maps. It also has adjustable speed and color inversion modes to enrich the competitive experience.
Skin Unlocking System
Complete in-game objectives and defeat opponents to earn rewards. Use rewards to unlock a variety of personalized skins for your character and territory, showing unique styles in battles.
Operation Guide
PC: WASD or arrow keys to control the moving direction of the character.
Mobile: Swipe the screen to steer the character’s movement.
Game Features & Tips
Novices are advised to expand in small ranges near the initial territory to avoid overly long exposed trails.
Make full use of the map edges for defense, as edges can reduce the directions of enemy attacks.
Strike at opponents who recklessly expand with long trails to get territory easily.
Balance expansion desire and defensive awareness; do not pursue large territory blindly.

Use your mouse to move around and cover the map with your color, you can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard or the WASD keys
Drag over the other players' white space and paint, then create a connection with your own color to claim that area.

When you move outside your color, your tail is exposed to attack. This means that other players can run into you and eliminate you.

You'll be constantly battling with other players, whether it's to reclaim your territory or take theirs.
